A letter of support:

Hello Joy,

I wanted to sincerely thank you for the service & facilities provided for lactating mothers that work on CCF Main Campus.  I was very blessed to nurse my son for 12 months.  ( I have weaned him now.)  I credit part of my success to having such a quiet/private space to pump at work.  Making the choice to nurse my baby was not only a good decision for the health of my son - it was a good healthy choice for me.  I was able to lose the weight I gained during pregnancy as well as an additional 5 pounds.

I was able to use the Lactation Room during 2007-2008 with my son Matthew as well as with my older son Joshua in 2001.  I am truly grateful for all that you and the other CCHS Lactation Consultants do to educate and support new mothers.  In addition to using the Lactation Room here, I utilized (in 2001 and 2007) the Breast Feeding Education class and Breast Feeding Support Group at the Fairview Wellness Center.

Thank you again!

Sincerely,

Kara J. Heney, B.S., R.Ph.
